Summary0002194: Wrong waveforms after recording a stereo track
DescriptionIf I record on a stereo track and the playhead reaches the left end of the window thus switches to the next part of the session the waveform is broken after I hit stop (see screenshot). It is drawn OK while the recording is running, the error occurs sometimes after stopping when the playhead has switched.

After restarting Ardour everything looks fine again.

Could you confirm this with a revision above 3200, preferably release 2.4.1 or later?

Hi Paul,

checked yesterday with the daily SVN (should be 3204 or so menu/about says its 2.4.1) on 64Studio:

found no way to reproduce the error yet had a single case in which the second channel of a stereo-recording was nor drawn. The latter could be solved by simply moving the region to another track and then back to its original place, so I consider this minor.

and with the official 2.4.1 release in Ubuntu Studio 07.10:


No way to reproduce the problem in a 2-3h session.

Looks like being solved then ;-)
