| Summary | 0002163: Export Broken | ||||
| Description | Export is ridiculously slow (apparently one sample every 20 seconds or so). The following errors are reported: 01/04/08 16:15:14 [0x0-0x2e02e].gpl.elementicaotici.JackPilot[354] JackFreewheelDriver::ProcessSync SuspendRefNum error 01/04/08 16:15:24 [0x0-0x2e02e].gpl.elementicaotici.JackPilot[354] JackMachSemaphore::TimedWait name = jack_mach_sem.default_freewheel usec = 10000000 err = unknown error code and repeating every 20 seconds During this time ardour is responsive, although if I push cancel in the export window, it takes 10-20 seconds to close. Holds true for "export range markers". Selecting the whole session and choosing "Export selection freezes the app. Restarting Jack solved the problem. Before restarting Jack, was reproducible. | ||||

this is a problem in JACK (jackdmp in your case), not ardour. what version are you using? |
The error code says that for some reason, the client exceedeed the time out on 10 second for a given cycle. I cannot reproduce anything similar here, thus I would need much more precise description of the problem. Is it a something that you can easily reproduce? And if yes can you describe all the steps? |

Jackdmp 0.691 JackRouter 0.8.6 Haven't been able to reproduce (because I'm not so sure what I was doing that caused it) but that day I was mostly slicing regions, and automating LADSPA params. |
Setting to resolved as it was an issue with Jack and not Ardour, as well it seems to have been fixed from the latter comments. Seablade |
I also have exactly this issue with jackdmp 1.9.6 qjackctl messages JackPosixSemaphore::TimedWait err = Connection timed out JackFreewheelDriver::ProcessSync SuspendRefNum error |
babagau: please note that (a) this bug was marked resolved, and (b) sletz (the jack2 maintainer) reports being unable to reproduce this bug at this time. |
