| Description | In Ardour 2.3 (why can't I select that at Product Version?) there is this new spalsh screen it seems it has some problem when opened in a tiling manger (like dwm, awesome or Xmonad) - becouse it segfaults when I'm putting it in floating (normal window mode like openbox, metacity and so on) thru config it works. But it should be implemented a better way (on other software splash screens work in floating manger - may be set it as a message or something like that) | ||||

the splash screen is marked as a splash screen. we can't do much more. if you are using the release of 2.3, this issue has probably been solved in svn since then, and the fix in the soon-to-appear 2.4 release |

I just can say, that frostwire for example has no problems... but I'll wait until 2.4 and will report if it gets fixed. |

there were more fixes targetted at Ion in the last release: * better behaviour of the splash window with the Ion WM (activated by setting the environment variable ARDOUR_USE_OVERRIDE_REDIRECT_SPLASH) that is probably relevant. |
