This is the (abridged) console dump from my attempt to add the AU effect called "Multiband Freeverb" to a mono track, after everything was recorded. Adding the track was successful, but double-clicking on the plugin caused a freeze, followed a half minute later by a crash. The session was recovered, thank God.

The session was recorded as one stereo track using a MOTU 828mk2, then split into two mono tracks in Ardour. The splitting was not complete at the time of the error.

A Second problem, I added Barry's Satan Maximizer to the master post fader to get a volume boost on my bad macbook speakers. I added it while the transport was rolling, and once I pressed "Insert plugin" it froze and crashed. When I restarted Ardour, and this time stopped transport before inserting, and it worked fine. After a few minutes of playback I stopped the transport, when I pressed play again, nothing happened. I restarted Ardour, then realized that Jack had died.
