| Summary | 0001804: Region gain envelopes become invisible when they are activated. They become visible when they are de-activated. | ||||
| Description | Region gain envelopes become invisible when they are activated. They become visible when they are de-activated. The red nodes and the red line (visible when the gain tool is hovered over the envelope) continue to work, it's just the white envelope line that becomes invisible. The envelope is still editable. | ||||

This bug is in the default color scheme, GainLine is defined to be totally transparent. You can fix this by editing ~/.ardour2/ardour2_ui.conf and changing the value of GainLine. AFAIK the values are in the format rrggbboo (r=red, g=green, b=blue and o=opacity), so changing the last two values to f, would make the gain line fully opaque. |

fixed in branches/2.0-ongoing and trunk. thanks! |

i added a fix from dave robillard in trunk that picks nicer colors too. |

This is not fixed. If I right click on a region and select 'envelope visible' it becomes visible. If I then right click and select 'envelope active' the envelope line disappears. As I already reported, the line becomes visible and is editable when the gain tool hovers over the lines position. Built from on-going 2345. |

oofus, I think you have to delete your ~/.ardour2/ardour2_ui.conf for the new default to come to use. This should probably be handled in releases somehow. Maybe have a "last revision run" file in ~/.ardour2/ and when you start a new version for the first time, it would ask if you wanted to use the new settings and maybe backup the old settings. |
