this depends on your auto input configuration.. The monitoring code has been reworked. please try a newer version and turn "auto input" on. When it's off, every rec enabled track should show the input level on the meter anyways.. |

OK, so I missed the auto-input button. With a newer version GTK 0.425.1 libardour 0.709.0 the metering still doesn't work if autoinput is on AND monitoring is set to hw monitoring. If software monitoring is on the metering works, all the time, but obviously ardour is passing the signal through in that case anyway. I don't understand what auto-input has to do with this though, so maybe it is just documentation. |

a record enabled track should monitor input when AI is on. this is a bug. AI is actually pretty useful.. here's the state table for your reference.. WHAT IS MONITORED?
