Summary0000175: ardour silently drops audio material
DescriptionArdour sometimes silently drops audio material. This happened in old cvs version (before the beta series) and happens in beta9 and current cvs. There are two detailed threads on ardour-dev about this (end of June/end of November). The dropouts occurs while recording and can be heard through software monitoring. Playback seems to work fine. The dropouts occur on 2^16 bytes blocks boudaries on all trakcs, but not always. They seem unrelated to system load or jack buffer size. Analyzing the waveforms shows that the clicks are a matter of one sample being set to zero.

Reminder sent to tcharbonnel

Is this still a problem?

I couldn't reproduce the problem during a 20 minutes test with :

jackd 0.97.8
Ardour/GTK 0.465.1
libardour 0.739.0

I guess this bug can be close. I'll open a new one if ever I encounter the problem again.
