| Summary | 0000175: ardour silently drops audio material | ||||
| Description | Ardour sometimes silently drops audio material. This happened in old cvs version (before the beta series) and happens in beta9 and current cvs. There are two detailed threads on ardour-dev about this (end of June/end of November). The dropouts occurs while recording and can be heard through software monitoring. Playback seems to work fine. The dropouts occur on 2^16 bytes blocks boudaries on all trakcs, but not always. They seem unrelated to system load or jack buffer size. Analyzing the waveforms shows that the clicks are a matter of one sample being set to zero. | ||||

I couldn't reproduce the problem during a 20 minutes test with : jackd 0.97.8 Ardour/GTK 0.465.1 libardour 0.739.0 I guess this bug can be close. I'll open a new one if ever I encounter the problem again. |
