Summary0001633: Ardour cannot start jackd when it's not running already.
DescriptionArdour is supposed to start jackd if it's not already running when Ardour is started. It fails with the following terminal message.

exec of JACK server (command = "jackd") failed: No such file or directory
ardour: [ERROR]: Unable to connect to JACK server
ardour: [ERROR]: Could not connect to JACK server as "ardour"
ardour: [ERROR]: Could not connect to JACK server as "ardour"

Jackd is installed in /usr/bin.

this is actually a bug in JACK, not ardour. it will be fixed in the next JACK release.
