Summary0001526: plugin automation almost not visible
Descriptionif i automate gain or pan, everything good, but if i automate some plugin parameter, than the automation line becomes almost the same color as the automation track. the automation line becomes visible only if i "touch" the line with the mouse.
attached are two files, first one "touching" the automation line, so bad in the screenshot you do not see the mouse, but it is touching the automation line, having the "fader" form. in the second file, the mouse pointer is elsewhere on the screen. the little xterm is only for me being able to execute the command, so normally is not there.
you can view with 'animate file.dmp' which comes from imagemagic.

cheers,
doc

I converted the pictures for you. You can use the "convert" command to convert pictures. You can also use gimp to grab.

hi paul, for me it would be fine, if the color would just stay green when the mouse is somewhere else on the screen. the problem is, that the automation line changes color to blue, when the mouse is not touching it.
otherwise, i think black is always a good color for things like this?!

hi again, reading pauls ANN for the beta12, i realized to copy the .colors file from the /etc/ardour2 into .ardour2 of my home dir.

using the 'colors' window from menu still does not works here and if i make some changes, they won't be applied, but i am able to edit the file manually and so get the colors i want!

cheers,

i think that this issue is resolved a long time ago, and that while running 'scons install' the .colors file will be copied into the userspace .ardour2 directory with the appropriate rights, so that it is easy to handle now.

if you are agreed, the bug could be closed.

cheers,

fixed but may require nuking user files to take effect.
