| Description | When adding a track/bus in the mixer, ardour switches to the editor after it's created. I'm using metacity-2.12.1 It's always reproducible and I thought it was a known problem. All I do, is right click in the mixer, add a new track/bus, then it adds it and then it brings up the editor window. | ||||

i can't reproduce this here with iceWM. please try with another WM and report back. |

i am here on fluxbox and have a similar issue. i always have the editor in the workspace2 and the mixer in the workspace3. now the difficult-to-explain-part: if i open a session and create a track from the editor, and than try to create the track from the mixer, the "new track" dialog will appear in the editor workspace. if i restart the session and than first go to the mixer and create the track from there, and than go to editor, trying to create the track, the dialog will always appear in the mixer. so it is like, the "new track" dialog is always bounded to that workspace, from within i open a track first. it is always only for one session. in the next session it will be bounded to that workspace, from within i open the "new track" dialog for the first time. cheers, doc |

fixed in my source code. the add track/bus dialog is now floated above whichever window was used to "request it". |
