| Summary | 0001304: Crossfade applied incorrectly | ||||
| Description | Placing a smaller region over a much larger region causes a crossfade to be applied incorrectly. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Record a region of, say, 30 seconds. Now move the playhead back to the middle of the new region and record a new region of, say, 5 seconds over the original region. Now move the new smaller region a small amount to the left or right. This movement might have to be done a couple of times. Make sure the smaller region is not moved out of the bounds of the first, larger region. After a couple of moves a crossfade will appear starting at the beginning of the small region and ending at the end of the large region. I believe this to be wrong. No crossfade should be applied at all. This seems to happen regardless of which region is at the highest level. | ||||

This only happens when 'span entire overlap' is set in the options. If 'short' is selected a crossfade is applied to each end of the smaller region (this is correct I believe). But, when you zoom in this crossfade can't be seen. The yellow high light is there but the crossfade is not drawn within it. It's possible to edit it, but it still doesn't get updated visually. |
