This is the practice as stated in the Apple HIG book. |

Actually, the ... is only needed if a window opens that requires further action. Commands that just toggle the display of a window do not the the ellipsis. |

That's right, but for such menu items (for example for mixer toggle) it would be nice to display a check mark to indicate whether the corresponding window is open or not. |

They're supposed to display checkmarks already. I'll check that out. |

I found that every item in the "window" submenu displays a check mark, excepted: - about... (checkmark probably not useful) - mixer (I think this one should have a check mark) - editor (ok without a checkmark because it cannot be undisplayed) So just add a checkmark on mixer? |
