Summary0001092: Strange waveform display problems
DescriptionThis was introduced in beta30 (at least for me). Beta29 worked just as expected. May it be that gentoo build system failed to update config files in /etc somehow, but I'm not sure.
This is the first bug I'm reporting about this excellent program. Attached picture should illustrate problem much better then any writing I could possibly do about it -- reason is my bad english, obviously :(.

For any further details, I'll be tuned.

I can confirm it isnt just your machine, that exact problem happens on mine as well also a gentoo machine so it is possible the Gentoo Ebuild might be the problem. When I get some spare time I will build from scratch without portage and see what happens.

Glad to hear that. :) Not that there is problem but that I'm not the only one seeing it.

BTW, Where is the best place to talk to expirienced ardour users about setting up the machine for home recordings and using ardour generaly?

Maybe you should grab the latest ardour_ui.rc file and manually overwrite the one in /etc/ardour/. It looks like your ardour_ui.rc file originates from a previous ardour version, the theme in beta30 has different colors. I think you could grab it from here:

http://nostar.net/audio/ardour_ui.rc
