Summary0001091: Detachable Transport becomes Attached to the Mouse
DescriptionDetaching the transport gets you into trouble; when clicking on the led display after it's detached, it follows the mouse and it's very hard to put it back on the app so you can use your mouse again.

Is this still a problem for you? We revamped the way we handle mouse focus in the gtk2 switch.

Hmm, this bug is still valid to some degree. Not sure what to call it now

Using ardour-2 from maybe 2 weeks ago

After it is detached, I click on where it says 4/4 on the display on the transport bar, then it attaches itself to the mouse cursor, but when I click once more, it releases (something it didn't do before).

Anyways, I think it is wrong behavior to attach to the mouse cursor. If I want to drag it, I hold down the mouse key;).

(a) i have not been able to replicate the actual problem
(b) brian ahr cooked up a small patch in which any click on the window when its grabbed will remove the mouse grab. its been applied.
(c) many window managers won't put any decoration on windows of the class used for the tearoff windows, which means that moving them around without this press-drag-release behaviour is excessively hard to do
(d) i consider this fixed for now.

This is still a problem in beta9. It's actually a big problem now, because it jumps frenetically around after you click on it and it attaches itself to the mouse.

It would be nice if someone else could also confirm this.

I just applied Brians' patch to SVN and it's working perfect;).

Provided this new patch is applied, this bug can be closed

Thank you, Brian
