| Summary | 0001038: Must be able to draw two or more channel's pan automation | ||||
| Description | Ardour really needs better pan automation before 1.0. I see two solutions, of which I think B is much better. A) Handled more simply for stereo tracks: 0 (centre) and + and - values are R and L respectively. This is dumb, because how would it be done for tracks with more than two channels? B) More sane and flexible (and true to Ardour's flexible channel notion), B) a automation field for each channel on a track, so if I enabled Pan automation for Track 1 which is stereo, I'd see "Pan channel 0" and "Pan channel 1", and so on for tracks with more channels. Having keybindings deciding what pan automation curve to move I feel would be quite cumbersome, and uintuitive to say the least. | ||||
