| Summary | 0010310: Keyboard Shortcuts Dialog - Ability to search key name | ||||
| Description | None of my other posts about this topic have been added so it is doubtful that this one will, but here is another `Keyboard Shortcuts` dialog post to go with the others. The `Keyboard Shortcuts` dialog contains a search field at the bottom. User types in keyword and the search is performed based on the names of the `Actions` I am suggesting to add a way for user to be able to perform a search based on `Shortcuts` key names. This would be something I would probably make hidden, so I am suggesting that this be added maybe in the form of some kind of "activator key" to perform this `Shortcut` key based search. For now I will use / as the activator So if user for example types in /F10 The search results in each tab will show any shortcuts currently assigned to the F10 key. Could be helpful to users trying to figure out which specific keys are already being used. This could also be helpful when assigning `Global` shortcuts because there are no warning dialogs to let users know that keys are already being used by other sections (because other section shortcuts are programmed in Ardour to automatically override any `Global` assigned shortcuts).
