| Description | Ardour 9 hangs on the "Indexing plugins" stage of the splash screen with 99.9% CPU usage. This is not a crash. There is nothing in the debugger. No weird logs. The process still responds to CTRL+C and shuts down gracefully. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Run Ardour 2. Click on NEW on the side 3. Select Empty Template from the list 4. Click on Open 5. Click on Start 6. Observe the splash screen hanging on Indexing plugins | ||||
| Additional Information | I tried both with and without safe mode, with the same outcome. I attached the that Ardour 9.2.526 prints to the console, and I also attached the scan_log file from the plugin_metadata directory. I only have the bundled plugins from Ardour on this system. | ||||

I forgot to mention, that this issue started with Ardour 9. |
