| Summary | 0010071: Support for playlists in ProTools import | ||||
| Description | Importing a ProTools session currently creates a new ardour track for each PT playlist. This can lead to unmanageably large numbers of tracks from PT sessions containing a lot of takes on separate playlists. It'd be good if playlists could be imported as playlists rather than tracks. | ||||
| Additional Information | It seems, from looking at the PT session files I have here, that playlists are saved as tracks, with the name suffixed by '.' and some digits, with the portion of the name before the '.' being the name of the track to which the playlist belongs, which is the also 'main' playlist for the track. | ||||

Hi, I think that the ptformat lib is not ready for really manage playlist. I've find some things in the PT session files for handle playlists but that need to be seriously review. https://github.com/zamaudio/ptformat/wiki/Track-UIDs-and-playlists |
