| Description | Changing a Preference setting can stop the timecode clocks from working. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | This is reproducible here, even with internal timecode:- 1) Open your Preferences window and enable 'Appearance->Avoid strobing/blinking/flashing elements' 2) In either the Editor window or Mixer window, hit 'Play' and notice that the timecode clock updates normally 3) Now exit Mixbus and re-launch it 4) From now on (with any session) the timecode clocks no longer update when in Play mode | ||||

This is entirely intentional. Also meters get stuck, peak-hold is no longer updated, and anything that can change rapidly. Although in MIxbus this is half baked. Mixbus meters may still update as can other channelstrip elements. |

What's interesting is that the problem only happens after exiting Mixbus (or Ardour) and later, re-starting. Or does that particular setting not get implemented until after re-starting? |

it is applied when the session is (re-)loaded: GUI timer callbacks are not connected (though some other callbacks directly check the prefs) |
