I like the idea of incorporating the reaper style window for various operations that involve making multiple choices in one go. I think it would make a massive difference to user friendliness. One suggestion though, would that option be best served from the drop down menu of a single channel strip if the idea is to remove multiple tracks/channels? What if there was a button beside the add track button in the mixer window that allowed you to do this. So the add icon would be to add tracks/multiple tracks and a minus symbol button would be to remove a track/multiple tracks? It would invoke the reaper style window to allow you to do this. |

I agree. A dedicate minus button in mixer is a lot better and makes more sense. But I still think the Window called tracks Tracks and Busses would be a place a fresh Ardour user would go to try to remove/add a things called tracks and busses.. There could be a + and - in that Window too. |
