Summary0005604: Midi preview idea
DescriptionIt's great being able to preview audio before importing it to your session. It would be great if you could also do the same with midi files. Would it be possible, when midi files are selected, to add an output button in the import dialog from where you could route it to a midi channel within Ardour? This would allow you to preview the file through whatever synth, sampler, etc, you already have set up on the track that you intent to import the file to.

this is a good idea, and it might actually be fairly simple to implement.
