Summary | 0005182: allow a group's shared gain follow a single track's automation
Description | this is a request to make an option that would allow a group's shared gain (relative or not) to change all the gains of the other tracks in the group when any of the tracks change via fader automation. currently, with 2 tracks in a group that shares (possibly relative) gain, automating the fader of one of those tracks does not cause the other track in the group to follow. it would be a nice alternative to running them through a bus (not latency compensated currently), using groups and automation on only 1 track of the group. otherwise, one must duplicate the fader automation on every track of the group if one wants the entire group to follow the same gain automation. for the case when more than one track in the same group has (different) fader automation, i would expect that the track with the higher id (i.e. earlier in the route list) to control all other tracks below it in the same group, until the next track in the same group occurs with fader automation, and so on. thanks.
