Summary0009982: basic operations like copy and paste are busted.
Descriptionthis has been giving me such a problem for making songs. trying to move sections of stuff around or copying one section to another place is extremely hit or miss. im trying to coy a section of a song using the range select, then ctrl + c, then ctrl + v. only to see that it copied some of the track, or worse, it pasted it in the wrong section ( not on the line where i pasted it ). this is not ideal, and its such a basic feature that needs to work correctly imho. maybe im missing something here?
Steps To Reproducenot sure an easy way to reproduce, since it gets worse the more tracks i work with. ive uploaded a video. just try to copy and paste large sections of a song around for yourself.

If you want to copy or move whole sections (incl invisible automation etc), use arrangement markers.

no offense but i was not able to understand your video at all ( it did not look like anything happened ) . also, the arrangement markers should not be a work around for a basic feature such as copy and paste, which should have been ironed out in version 1. if its buggy the way i do it, why even let me try?

It looks like you paste everything a track down. From the video it's not clear what your insertion point is, only that it's not the top-most track of your previous selection. So things move vertically.

Paste only retains relative track position. - You can copy a region and paste it on another track.

PS. The video move a section of silence from after the song to the beginning and shifts everything (incl. automation). I just had it handy since that came up a few hours ago.

well all i did was press ctrl + c, then i clicked to the point of the song i wanted to paste, where the red arrow/line is. then i press ctrl + v. it did not seem to get my top tracks so all i did was press ctrl + z to undo and then i pressed ctrl + v again. this time it inserted it but it was offset to the right. nothing else was done.
