Those NI VST3's are all for windows? You cannot run them on a Linux DAW without using a bridge (such as yabrige ("yet another bridge"). |
Yes, yabridge. Otherwise they wouldn't work in bitwig. |

Probably try talking to Robbert, the yabridge developer. Since the host itself does not open the plugin shared object file directly when using yabridge, I have no idea how or why that error would occur. There's no reason for anyone to expect an ELF header from a windows plugin, and Ardour will not even attempt to open a windows plugin directly. |

Also, your account name and email address were suspicious enough that I was about to delete it suspecting upcoming spam, until I noticed you had posted an actual bug report. Just something to be aware of. |

It's not a yabridge problem because the VSTs work fine in Waveform, Bitwig, and Reaper. |

The installer doesn't even function in Wine here - the text is just a bunch of shapes. (This is for Komplete Start) |
It also appears to require "permissions" to be granted that I have no idea how to do in Wine. |

When I checked into running Native Instruments plug-ins on Yabridge a few years ago, nobody was able to get them to work. NI uses their own software installer and license checking software. You may get them to work, but at the cost of a lot of time and research. Any future updates to Wine could break everything you worked for. |

Apparently the user who is reporting this bug has them working with other Linux-native DAWs using yabridge. |
