Summary | 0009503: Enabling loop playback disables punch recording, but disabling loop doesn't bring it back.
Description | As in summary. Loop is transport mode. If you turn loop on, the punch in/out icons are greyed out, so punch recording is unavailable (by the way: why? This would be useful...). But if you switch loop mode off, the punch recording is still grayed out :( but it shouldn't be, I think. The only way to bring it back is restart Ardour. Maybe reloading session would help but I not tried this.

NOTE: the punch recording can be re-enabled by start/stop playback. |

Just another comment on disabling punch recording in loop mode. ardour.org/features.html, section "Flexible Recording": Quote: "Punch in/out points can be set in a multitude of ways, and can be combined with loop playback". So I guess this functionality once existed. So why it does not exist anymore? Please bring it back or remove this statement from your site.... cause this is not true (anymore). |
