Summary | 0009296: MIDI notes not moving with changing tempo map & visually and audibly out of sync
Description | I recorded a MIDI region in a session in 7.3. When adding tempo changes on the Tempo ruler, the notes move around to conform to the shorter/longer bar (time) durations. However, when the region is exported to a MIDI file and imported into a different 7.3 session, the notes are static and do not move around to conform to shorter/longer bar durations caused by changing tempos on the Tempo ruler. What's more, whilst the MIDI notes appear in the wrong places (because the region appears to be at a fixed tempo over bars of varying tempos), the notes sound in different places to where they appear -- they more-or-less where they should (i.e. the MIDI output is conforming to the tempo changes). I tried reproducing this by creating a brand new session in 7.3, recording MIDI, exporting it, then importing the file into another (brand new) 7.3 session but everything worked as expected. The only thing I can think is that the sessions where I experienced this were first created in 7.0 (and I no longer have that installed to try to replicate) but now using 7.3. Screenshot 1: shows the MIDI notes recorded in the session Screenshot 2: shows the same session, but with tempo changes added. The notes conform to the changing tempo marks Screenshot 3: shows an export of the MIDI from screenshot 1, imported into a different session, with tempo changes already on the timeline. The notes do not conform to the changing tempo (even when moving the region) and do not sound where they appear on the timeline. For example, the three hits in quick succession (circled) that should appear as a pick-up to the 7/8 bar (bar 133, see screenshots 1 and 2) appear about a bar early, but sound at almost the correct point (the arrowhead, just before bar 133)
