Summary | 0008321: add checkbox to "import into session after export"
Description | For sound design projects I gather together groups of (usually) short sounds across multiple tracks, mix them together then use the result as a single sound event. Bounce and Consolidate appear to always leave sounds separated per track so not what I need. The only option seems to be Export, but then I need to go and Import to bring the sound back in to use. A simple check box to import the result back into the session (as soon as it has been created) would be great.
Additional Information | I was expecting Bounce Range to Source List to do this. I'm old enough to have started on analogue recorders where Bounce (down) meant mix several tracks down to one to make space form more recording. I guess changing Bounce to have that option or mean something different would be too much of a change for Ardour. Again, sorry if I'm missing an option somewhere.
