|Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0008257: MIDI files themselves began to disappear from the project|
|Description||A week ago, I finished work on the project and decided yesterday to return to it to fix something.|
To my surprise, Ardor reported that some MIDI file was missing. I played back the session, did not notice strong changes, decided that the file disappeared from the playlists in which I store the drafts and do not use them in the release version.
I got a little confused in snapshots and several times opened different versions of my project and at some point I realized that the project directory itself was renamed. Previously, it was "Project_Name", but suddenly for some reason it took the name of one of the snapshots. This morning I opened the session again and again received a message that there is no midi file. This time it was a new file, the ones that I used to and its absence, I noticed. I looked for this file in the project directory and could not find it.
This behavior scares me. I can say for sure that I did not delete a any MIDI file from the project directory manually. All that I deleted are several snapshot files with the names "Snapshot.ardour" and "Snapshot.ardour.bak"
|Additional Information||Another unpleasant surprise was that Ardour warns about a lost file only once. When saving and subsequent openings, I no longer saw a message stating that the file was lost, although in fact the file is still missing.|
