Summary | 0008237: midi clip punch in does not work as expected
Description | Punch in recording should mute parts that are within the punch in/out range on armed tracks. However, within a punch range, midi clips that are in the range are still being played.

This is mostly intentional. All MIDI regions are "sonically" transparent - if you overlap them you will hear notes from all layers. So while overdubbing, you also get to hear the existing material, because that is what you will hear when you play the track back after recording. I appreciate the it would be nice to have a way to do audio-like overdubbing, but that's not possible at this time. |
