Summary | 0008236: Piano Roll and midi clip mismatch
Description | In stacked view of a midi track, if there are two midi clips that are overlapping each other, one will appear on top of the other. When in draw mode, the piano roll should appear on the swim lane of the midi clip to be edited. This does not happen. The piano roll appears only on the highest clip of track. If the user wants to edit the lower clip by dragging a note, the midi note suddenly disappears, and reappears on the topmost clip, but not exactly where the note is supposed to be in the piano roll.

I confirm that this is so and this is a problem. Part of this problem I mentioned here: https://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=8174 |

It ought to be impossible to use edit/draw mouse modes while in a stacked view. It is logically impossible to make this work correctly. So the bug fix here will be to prevent editing in a track that is displayed in this way. |
