Summary0008230: Upon opening a project, Helm patches in the project are completely messed up
DescriptionThis bug has happened a few times and can be quite severe (loss of patches).
When saving, closing, and opening the project again, Helm patches are completely messed up.
I attach a screenshot of the weird patch that all Helm instances in the project are set to.
Steps To ReproduceLast time what I did was:
Start a new project, load Helm in some tracks.
Create a simple patch in each of the Helm instances, create some MIDI melodies, add some reverb, delay plugins etc.
Save the project.
Quit Ardour.
Launch Ardour and select the same project.
Additional InformationI don't know if this could happen to other plugins than Helm, I haven't experienced it. But I have also been using Helm most of the time, so I don't know.

VST (lxvst in the .ardour file)

The same problem just happened with the LV2 plugin as well. This time, Ardour actually crashed though, whereas previously I gracefully quit it before starting it.
Anyway, I think it's worth knowing this, because again it sets the knobs and envelopes etc to exactly the same as above.

I just found that ALL Helm instances throughout ALL my projects since 4th of June (that was my first project) are completely ruined.
That's pretty serious, am I really the only one who has this issue..?

Since it happens with both VST and LV2 and also in other plugin hosts (zrythm - https://github.com/mtytel/helm/issues/260) there is overwhelming anecdotal evidence that this is a helm issue.
Another hint towards this is that other plugins in Ardour do not have this issue.

I don't think there's anything we can do at the Ardour end of things.
