Summary | 0007565: When starting playback after position "0" (the most left), Hydrogen will not sync correctly |
---|
Description | If you start playback in Ardour on, let's say, bar 12 instead of bar 1, Hydrogen plays its pattern only for 50% of their length and skips the rest. This is totally irritating & annoying. Hydrogen does however recognize, on which position you start playback in Ardour, since the start position at least is synced. But it somehow does not want to play the full pattern then. Also, if you start playback in Hydrogen (after position "0"), it will start playback in Ardour at a completely different location in the sequencer. So if I click on the 9th bar in Hydrogen and start playback, Ardour's sequencer forces playback to start on the 17th bar. This forces me to start playback only from the beginning. So if I want to check some random parts after position "0" in my project's timeline, I can't just play them particularly. Let's say you want to hear the outro of your project and it's about 6:30 minutes log, you always have to hear the complete project, until playback reaches the outro. This breaks productivity enormously. |

Steps To Reproduce | Load Ardour, JACK and Hydrogen. Start playback at some random point after the most left position in Ardour's sequencer. To reproduce the other bug, start playback at some random point after the most left position in Hydrogens sequencer. |
