Summary | 0007561: Aliases for plugins and parameters |
---|
Description | It would sometimes be useful to be able to give a plugin a different name than its given one by the developer. For instance you create a track. And then you want to use filters, let's say a "Calf Filter" from the "Calf Studio Plugins". You want to use one as lp, another one as hp and want to automate the frequency parameters for each one to create some movement. Then you create those filters in the track. After that you have to right click on the track and choose the parameter of the filters you want to automate, separately for each filter. But the plugins have the same name. So how would you certainly know, which one is which? It would be more convenient to give them aliases like "low pass" and "high pass" or whatever you want to name them. This is especially useful, when you use the same instruments on different tracks next to each other and you get confused by so many "Noize Mak3rs" for example. Sure, the tracks have different names, but still... In "Reason" for example you really could give any plugin any name you want. |
