Summary | 0007538: Automation Envelopes |
---|
Description | If you want to make a rising curve with at least 2 value points (for a filter sweep or any kind of drop or whatever) for about 4 bars & then drop to the first value again, accurately on the 5th bar, you fail. It is impossible to set 2 points on top of each other, which is crucial for clean sweeps. It sounds horrible if some of the sound from previous parts of a song bleeds into others, for a few samples or so. It would be so much more logical & useful, if you can do a clean "sawtooth-style" automation curve, with a clean 90° angle and I mean 90°, not 87,345° or something. Even if it is 89,9999°, it would be way better than what is possible at this very moment. Please, please, please fix the GUI & this horrible automation behavior. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Make an automation point at the lowest value at any point on a track. Then make another point at the highest value somewhere after the first one (for e.g. 4 bars after), on the same track. Then try to set another point for returning to the value of the first point, immediately after (on the same beat) the highest value point. |
---|
Additional Information | Of course this applies to any curve with a starting point with value "X", at least another point of different value "Y" & again an ending point with value "X", right on the same point as the one with value "Y". You won't get a clean & sample accurate 90° angle. |
