| Summary | 0007335: Crash when recording | ||||
| Description | Ardour will crash while recording after anywhere from 5min to (I've seen) 2hr 40min. I seen this behavior only since Ardour 5 on. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Start jack, create tracks (this has happened with as few a 3 mono tracks and as many as 27 mono tracks). Start recording, wait. This appears to happen every time I record and just let it go. I've done much recording where I've stopped the transport and all is fine but it seems like a certainty that it will crash at some point if left running. | ||||
| Additional Information | Memory, 15.6 GiB Processor, i7-5600U CPU @ 2.60GHz × 4 Graphics, Intel® HD Graphics 5500 --- this is a dual graphics system but this is the chipset in use when ardour is running I've been using the X32/Xair/DN32(Midas) family of USB interfaces. | ||||

| | In the description I note that I've only seen this issue since ardour 5 on but, on pondering that, I'm not at all sure that's relevant or even the case. |
