2017-April-18 is that Ardour 5.8-319-g629b5e044 (check Menu > Help > About) I can't reproduce the issue, the session loads fine (missing audio+midi) and play/pause works after changing the sync back from LTC to internal. Can you get a backtrace of the crash? https://ardour.org/debugging_ardour -- ideally with a recent https://nightly.ardour.org/ build. Do you run Ardour slaved to LTC? does it also crash with internal transport? The track named "MIDI" track has 2 synths. Can you try if removing the bypassed superfluous Reasonable Synth on the MIDI track makes a difference? |

It this still an issue with Ardour 6.0-pre1? |
