Works here in either case. Can you try to toggle the option on/off/on? In some cases (distro provided gtk) there is/was(?) a bug that's not been understood so far which results in inconsistent setting: Checkbox shows enabled, but "internal" state is off. |

Seems to work correctly here with official 5.3 build. If you can still reproduce with official/nightly build can you outline the steps you are performing, what is happening and what you expect to happen. Thanks |

Ardour 5.3.41 (rev 5.3-56-gdbf86a4) 1 - Load a session 2 - Zoom in 3 - Select "Transport/Follow Playhead" from Menu (or Crtl+F from keyboard) 4 - Mouse (Left button) on "Play from playhead" button (Transport Control) -> Follow Playhead is working 5 - Spacebar (keyboard) - Follow Playhead doesn't working Should Spacebar and Mouse have the same behavior? Not reproduced on Ardour 5.3.64. Can you check in the binding editor (Alt K) that space is linked to [Global] > Transport > Start/stop ? (or click "reset binding to default") and check again ? |

Using Git version: 5.3-70-g37f7d75 In Global>Transport there is two Start/Stop actions. The first one the Shortcut is blank. The second one the Shortcut is set to "Espaço". See uploaded file. I did a reset as asked but Follow Playhead still not working. |

I'm not sure it is related, but what specifically is your locale/language setting as it may help reproduce your issue. Also in step 5 where you hit the spacebar, does the playback start rolling but the editor doesn't scroll to keep the playhead in view? But it does follow the playhead when you enable play using the play button? |

My locale/language is pt_BR. Yes, when I use spacebar the playback start rolling but the editor doesn't scroll. When I use play button the editor does scroll following the playhead. |
