Sadly, those crash logs are suprisingly shallow for the crashing thread.

So there something else I can gather to help this out. I *think* its and OS X specific problem as I tried to reproduce it on Linux with no success. I also found that simply quickly scrolling the track list left and right can cause Ardour to crash. I'm on El Capitan 10.11.6.

Ok, I'm on to something perhaps... The mouse I was using was bluetooth... With it disconnected and using the builtin trac pad I cannot reproduce the issue... argv.. argc... just plain arg...
