| Description | just installed the new nightly and now I can't get past the second screen, it locks up when trying to start audio. to get it back functioning I had to revert to Ardour 4.4.270 "Discreet Music" (built from revision 4.4-270-g0e3c2af) Intel 32 bit | ||||

on which platform? Linux? What Audio System do you use? could it be that there's a dialog "Can't start Audio system" hiding behind the Setup dialog? (move the window around a bit) |

Windows platform, win 10 running 32 bit ardour OR 64 bit.. Same issues on both |

Can you please list the version of the nightly that doesn't work and provide more information as to what hardware you are using and settings in the AudioSetup dialog etc. thanks. |

the nightly vers that doesn't work is 4.4.346 .. my hardware is motu asio running a 24 i/o and a 2408mk III.. settings are portaudio, and motu asio.. what happens is it hangs when trying to start audio.. complete freeze |

There were no changes to the windows audio backend(portaudio) between 4.4.247 and 4.4.346. Can you please try a recent nightly to see if there is still a problem. Thanks. |

what ever was wrong either a) got fixed or b) was a problem on my end. Newest nightly installed and is working fine |
