Summary | 0006296: Click sound is not aligned with recorded sound when playing back
Description | Use Jack. Click on. Record some music that is aligned to the click. Play back the same music with click on. Click is no longer aligned with music. This is obviously only noticeable when using large buffers (long latency) in Jack.

Did you calibrate the H/W latency? (either using ardour's built-in tool in Audio/Midi setup, or using jack_iodelay and jackd's -i -o options) see also http://manual.ardour.org/synchronization/latency-and-latency-compensation/ Ardour does correctly compensate for latency. it aligns perfectly here. |

Guess what? Today I am not able to reproduce this! The other day the music was perfectly aligned, but the click was not. I do the same thing now (or so I believe) and both are ok. Beats me. I'll report if it happens again (and hopefully with more info about the exact condition). |
