Summary | 0006251: quickly change monitor bus output routing
Description | I would find it a great feature to be able to quickly switch between (hardware) monitors. Even if I have no concrete suggestion on how to realize this technically, I would also find it useful to have some kind of settings recall for the monitor bus because - for example - one maybe have to set headphone volume much louder than the speakers volume etc. The easiest solution would maybe be to place an output field at the bottom of the monitor section like for every other mixer strip. Another idea would be to have multiple monitor buses, (exclusively?) selectable via a drop-down.

AFAIK there is already a branch called "monitor-section" wich adresses some of this. Haven't tried it myself yet, but maybe it's worth checking it out and giving some feedback on this. I think it would be nice to be able to switch between 2 or 3 speaker sets via a single button click - Speakers "A", "B", "C" - or something like that. So maybe a right click menu to assign outputs to that buttons would be a good idea. |

Indeed the monitor section branch has an output button (like the channels). Hopefully it can be merged after 4.0 is released (whenever that may be). |
