Summary | 0006249: Operating shuttle speed control (sprung) when trial period times out freezes operating system.
Description | Ardour 4.0.rc3.9 on Ubuntu Studio 14.10. If you are dragging the shuttle speed control when the trail period of the free version times out, the dialogue pops up to tell give you options but the application (in fact whole desktop) becomes unresponsive to mouse click. Ardour continued to play audio and user interface updated correctly, e.g. play cursor position updated.
Additional Information | First time this happened I used the console (Ctrl-Alt-F1) to close Ardour to regain access to the desktop. The second time I found I was able to use the keyboard to select an option on the Ardour pop-up which then allowed the application to continue and be accessed. It looks like the left mouse button release event is not properly handled under this condition.
