Summary | 0006108: Oddities after removing one input from stereo track
Description | If I add a stereo track, and then remove its 'R' input, I'd expect it to behave the same as if I'd added a mono track in the first place, but that's not what happens. Instead, various odd things ensue: * the channel strip and track header still show a pair of meters, though the left meter is rather wider than the right. * recorded regions still appear as stereo, though the right channel is silent. * playback of those recorded regions produces no signal, though they work after dragging them to a mono track. * once, on loading a session with such a track, I got the 'Missing file' dialogue for an 'R' file for that track. * after editing a track with these regions with signal only visible on the left, sometimes the waveforms get rendered outside the regions.
