Summary | 0005231: importing Midi-file with upercase in extenion fails
Description | Not sure wether this is a bug in Ardour, or a convention not followed by other software programmers, but when I try to import a MIDI file with extension .Mid, Ardour doesn't see the file as MIDI (even when setting file filter to "All files" and import it nonetheless). When I rename the extension to .mid, Ardour sees the file as it should and imports it well.
Additional Information | On Mac file systems, filenames are case insensitive where it comes to Finder level file handling. On POSIX level filenames are case sensitive. But does this apply to filename extensions as well?
