| Description | Ardour could provide a capability to create marks that are key'd to the region rather than the master timeline. such marks would retain their position within the region regardless of the region position in the project timeline |

| Additional Information | The use case for me is as follows:
I have a tracked recording in ardour of a live 2hr concert. when listening through it I note that there's a creak here because somebody moved and a baby cries there overthe strings whatever.. if I then cut out applause and paper shuffling from the concert and slide the actual music together I want these marks to retain their position relative to the section/waveform.
