Summary0002920: Naming a track/buss in the track/buss tab on the right of the editor isn't consistent with naming in the track headers.
DescriptionNaming a track/buss in the track/buss tab on the right of the editor isn't consistent with naming in the track headers.

The track headers have the feature that hitting 'tab' moves to name the next track in sequence and 'shift-tab' moves backwards.

Colouring of high lighting is also different.

Relationships

Also noticed that it is still possible to name a track (in the right hand tab) when that track is record armed. This has been disabled in the track header as renaming during recording causes all sorts of problems.

Renaming should also be disabled in the right hand tab when the track is record armed.

I've a patch for the rec enable thing which I'll commit when SVN is back up. Tab / shift-tab would be nice, but that looks difficult to implement in GTK's mind-manglingly awkward treeview widget that we're using for that list. The colours... I guess they could be made more similar; do you mean the colour that the name text gets highlighted with when it is being edited?

rec-enable fixes tested and working, thanks.

Yes I mean the text entry box background colour and high lighting colour. It was changed recently (by you ?) in the track header to make the text, cursor etc more readable when editing the name, the same needs to happen in the tab.

some level of functionality for this should be present in rev 7852 and beyond

This is good, although not 100% functional. When naming a track and tabbing to the next only the first track will take it's new name on tab, all subsequent renames and tabs leave the track with its original name.

Also, moving the mouse cursor away from the text entry, once editing has started, cause editing to be cancelled.
