As of Ardour 2 version 2.8, this issue appears to no longer exist. I loaded a large session, and performed multiple cut / paste edits of large regions, then quickly hit command-z (the MacOSX equivalent to ctrl-z) and the multiple undos were completed quickly without issue. I believe this issue has been resolved by version 2.8. |

There was significant work done in this regards to fix a memory leak in the history/undo list about a year ago, so this issue is believed to be resolved. |
