|Summary||0001777: Audio file import size|
|Description||Audio file import does nothing if files are bigger than approximately 2Go.|
|Tags||No tags attached.|
many of the most common audio file formats (notably WAV) cannot support sizes larger than 2GB. if you want ardour to use a native file format (for recording and for import) that can (WAV64), then go to Options->Audio File Format->Header Format and select it. the default is WAV, because there are still many applications on many operating systems that cannot handle WAV64 files.
ardour should probably put up an error message if the file size is >2GB and the header format is not WAV64. i'll leave the bug open until then.
