| Summary | 0010446: Window detach on drag is excessively sensitive | ||||
| Description | Dragging any of the 4 buttons in the upper right corner even ~1-2px will detach the selected window from the main Ardour window. I do not have a very steady hand, so I do this by accident about 50% of the time upon switching windows on my PC. On my tablet (with a pen), I do this almost 100% of the time upon switching windows (rendering the buttons basically useless). I'd imagine it'd be better if this only activated when you drag outside of the bounds of the button. It would also be nice to have a setting to disable this function entirely as I don't intend to ever use this feature and I will probably still activate it on accident even if it's less sensitive. | ||||
| Additional Information | On my tablet, I was able to work around this by mapping the hardware buttons to the keyboard shortcuts for each window. This is not ideal though as the buttons require a significant amount of force to press and the tablet typically slides around whatever surface it is on when I do. I marked as a major bug because it is very frequent and aggravating, but I acknowledge that may not be appropriate.
