| Summary | 0010353: different selection of notes in percussive and sustained note-mode while inserting | ||||
| Description | Inserting midi notes with a mouse in a region of a track in sustained mode will select only the actually inserted note Inserting them in percussive mode-note will select all inserted notes consecutively. The different behavior between both modes is a bit confusing, mainly when switching between a drum and another instrument track. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Editor Window. Create a drum track with a region. Make sure sustained note-mode, default, is used. Insert a few notes with the mouse. When done, move the last note or change velocity. The action will only apply to the last inserted note. Change to percussive note-mode. Also insert a few notes with the mouse. When done, move the last note or change velocity. The action will apply to all inserted notes. | ||||
| Additional Information | The different behavior in the two note-modes might be confusing, mainly if switching between drum tracks and tracks where percussive note-mode is not used. Both behaviors might have advantages, perhaps for percussive note-mode it makes sense. I can't think of a reason, but there might well be one. So if, and only if, there is no advantage, it is only (a bit) confusing. Nothing one couldn't get used to, and quickly. Hence very minor report. | ||||
